Dr. Urvashi Kapoor is a urogynaecologist at Aashray Urology Institute, Vadodara who graduated from JIPMER, Puducherry, one of India’s most prestigious medical institutes. She earned multiple gold medals during her MBBS and was honored by then Vice President Shri Venkaiah Naidu. She completed her MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at PGIMER, Chandigarh, consistently ranked among the top medical institutions in India, where she stood out as the university topper.

Recognizing the urgent need for expert care in women’s pelvic health, Dr. Kapoor pursued a specialized fellowship in Urogynaecology and Pelvic Floor Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) at KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad. She is proud to be the only fellowship-trained urogynaecologist in Gujarat and one of fewer than 50 specialists in India, serving a vast population of over 350 million women who deserve better care.

With additional training from world-class centers like King’s College London and Mount Sinai Hospital, New York City, Dr. Kapoor brings advanced, compassionate, and evidence-based treatments to women facing urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and other pelvic floor disorders.

VISION FOR UROGYNAECOLOGY IN INDIA

My passion for Urogynaecology stems from first-hand experiences with patients who suffer in silence due to the lack of awareness and qualified care in this specialty. India has a high prevalence of pelvic floor disorders, yet there remains a significant gap in the availability of specialized urogynaecological care. I am committed to bridging this gap in diagnosing and managing these conditions and bringing high-quality, compassionate care.
